Mega Carnival to Fundraise for the Himalayan Trust and Child Cancer

On Friday 21 June Hillary and Te Kanawa Houses combined to host a “mega” carnival in support of the house’s two charities, The Himalayan Trust and Child Cancer.
There was a huge range of fun activities and food available to the whole school during lunchtime. Former student, Lepani Tuifagalele (Mansfield House 2009 – 2013), who is currently making a name for himself as a singer/songwriter played during the event and was very well received.
Everyone enjoyed the range of food available, and the guest appearance of “Maisie” the well trained sheep who got on very well with the school guide dog.
It was great to see the attitude of the students in supporting this sympathy and service aspect as it is one of the backbones of the school.
Just under $6000 was raised between the two charities.
