Macleans students’ art on display
Posted on September 18, 2017
Macleans College students are currently exhibiting at Uxbridge Malcolm Smith Gallery.
These top prize-winners from the “Girl’s Ooh La La” and “The Dangerous Boys” exhibitions are being displayed alongside a collaborative exhibition in which ten Macleans College students worked with Auckland artist Reece King to produce large scale mixed media works in afterschool workshops.
Having these works displayed is particularly exciting for the Macleans’ art department as former student Zainab Hikmet (Te Kanawa House 2005 – 2009) is also exhibiting in a group show entitled “Here and Now” from 18 September to 28 October.
The opening was held on Saturday 16 September. This is part of Zainab’s doctoral studies at Monash University in Melbourne.
