Macleans College students to feature on K-pop reality TV show

Two Macleans College students feature in the upcoming season of television show K-Pop Academy.
K-Pop Academy is a reality television show which follows a group of young performers as they take part in a seven day K-pop boot camp led by dancer, choreographer and dance educator Rina Chae. The participants fine tune their dances, songs and raps to be performance ready. They are also taught how to create a K-pop makeup look, get to take part in a photo shoot and shoot music videos which will be released on Instagram in sync with the music tracks being released on TikTok, Spotify and iTunes.
Andzile Mavuso (Hillary House) is part of Team South, where she gets to show off her singing and dancing skills.
Emma Zhou (Hillary) features as a dancer in Team West.
K-pop, short for Korean popular music, is a genre of music originating in South Korea. BTS and Blackpink are leading K-pop bands.
Season two of K-Pop Academy will be released on HeiHei on TVNZ on Demand on 9 August.
