Macleans College students share performing arts talent
Posted on September 23, 2022
Year 10 and 11 performing arts students visited Bucklands Beach Intermediate to share some of the work they have accomplished in class this year.
The presentation included live performances from all three performing arts disciplines: drama, dance and music. The students in the audience were able to experience a moving piece of devised drama, a modern K-pop dance routine and two fantastic musical performances including one from the brand new contemporary music course. The students’ dedication and passion was clearly on display in the performances, which were inspiring for the Year 8 students in the audience.
The performing arts curriculum at Macleans College offers students the opportunity to play, act, dance, create and perform, but also provides students a chance to dive deeper into their craft – understanding the history and technique that happens behind the scenes. And the best part? In Years 9 – 11, all students can join regardless of their experience level. It is never too late to start exploring the world of performing arts. Come and join us.
