Macleans College students invited to meet the All Blacks

A group of Macleans College rugby players received a special invitation from the All Blacks recently.

They had the privilege of attending the Captains Run, which took place before the final game of the Rugby Championship and Bledisloe Cup at Eden Park. The All Blacks clinched a 40-14 win over Australia.

This opportunity gave the students an insight into a professional sports training session and allowed an up-close meet and greet with the All Blacks afterwards. The Macleans College coaches and students had an enjoyable evening, and for some it was their first time inside Eden Park.

In other rugby-related news, former Macleans College student Lauren Jenner (Rutherford House 2010 - 2014) is one of nine referees selected for the Women’s Rugby World Cup, which is currently taking place in New Zealand.
