Macleans College student wins silver at International Biology Olympiad

Representing New Zealand, Year 13 Macleans College student Allan Han (Batten House) achieved silver in the International Biology Olympiad.
Allan travelled to the United Arab Emirates during the July school holidays to compete against other selected delegates from 80 countries in the 34th Biology Olympiad, held at United Arab Emirates University.
Two theoretical exams followed four practical exams, in total culminating over 12 hours of rigorous assessment to differentiate the top biologists across the globe.
Allan also had the opportunity to experience Dubai and Abu Dhabi throughout the contest.
