Macleans College Student Wins Akarana Anniversary Golf Tournament

Year 12 student Jimmy Zheng (Hillary House) won the Akarana Anniversary golf tournament played during the recent Queen’s Birthday weekend.

Jimmy posted a score of seven under on the opening day to win the cup. Play was abandoned on Sunday and Monday due to challenging weather in Auckland.

Jimmy’s other achievements this year include;

• Representing New Zealand in the age group golf tournament in Australia during the first term holidays.
• Winner of South Island Under 19 boys’ golf championship.
• Member of the Macleans College Premier golf team that won Auckland stroke play competition.
