Macleans College student selected for New Zealand Indoor Cricket team

Ayaan gained selection alongside 11 other indoor cricketers to be a member of the New Zealand Girls U17 team.

The tournament will take play from 29 September to 7 October.

Earlier this year Ayaan was selected for the Auckland U17 Girls cricket squad. She was named Junior Women’s Cricketer of the Year at the Howick Pakuranga Cricket Club, where she is a member of the premier women’s team.

Ayaan is an impressive all-round sportswoman. As well as being a member of the Macleans College 1st XI Girls Cricket team, she is also in the Netball Premier 1 team, the Volleyball Girls Development Squad and is an accomplished athlete – placing first in the Year 10 Girls division of the Macleans College Athletics Finals.
