Posted on April 05, 2017
Hannah Sutcliffe, a Year 13 student from Rutherford House has been formally selected as the sole illustrator for The Big Hoot - a fundraising event for the Child Cancer Foundation.
Her artistic abilities led her to being selected from a number of applicants as the illustrator for the entire campaign. Hannah will provide approximately 12 -15 illustrations for the storyline “Manu’s exploration”. These illustrations will be created over a period of time between now and March 2018, with the first one due early April 2017.
The Big Hoot is a large scale art trail event that will feature around Auckland City for ten weeks from early March to May 2018. Up to 40 bespoke-designed 1.6M tall owls will be displayed on the trail. At the end of the event each large owl will be auctioned to raise funds to help support children with cancer and their families throughout New Zealand.
