Macleans College staff raise funds and awareness for charity
Posted on May 31, 2022
Staff at Macleans College came together recently for two events – raising money and awareness for breast cancer, anti-bullying and men’s health.
On Friday 20 May the staffroom was awash with pink! Best-dressed, raffles, Breast Cancer Foundation NZ merchandise for sale, guess-the-number-of-pink-jellybeans-in-the-jar, silent auctions and a bake sale.
A week later, staff (along with friends and family) attended a viewing of Top Gun: Maverick at the Monterey Cinema, Howick. Once again, raffles and silent auctions were held coupled with ticket sales. A very enjoyable evening was had by all.
A total of $2,385 was raised to be distributed between the three charities.
Many thanks to the following sponsors for their very generous donations:
- The Soap Factory
- Time Zone, Botany Town Centre
- Moore Coffee, Howick
- Countdown, Aviemore Drive
- Heartland Bank
- Infinity Float Centre, Botany
- Zone Bowling, Botany
