Narrated from the eyes of an outsider, Nick Carroway, The Great Gatsby tells the story of a young man, Jay Gatsby, in 1920s America. Having worked hard to make something of himself, Gatsby tries to win back the woman he loves, the now married Daisy Buchanan who lives in a society obsessed with wealth and status.
