Macleans College rugby players selected for Auckland representative team

Four members of the Macleans College 1st XV rugby team have been selected for the Auckland Divisional 18s rugby team.
Elkanah Petelo (Te Kanawa House), Jay Punimata (Snell), Divan Lourens (Mansfield) and Luke Cullingworth (Upham) gained selection, and Finn Sanileva (Rutherford) received a late call-up to play in a game against the Auckland 1A Under 18. Declan Murphy (Mansfield) was unavailable for selection as he has taken up a professional contract at Wasps Rugby Club in England.
The Auckland Divisional 18 team have one game remaining, on Saturday 24 September against North Harbour.
Macleans College is grateful to have former student Michael Marnewick (Te Kanawa House 2000 – 2002) as assistant coach of the 1st XV rugby team, as he is also the backline coach for the U18 B team.
