Macleans College Past v Present cricket match

On Friday 2 October the Bentley Pavilion cricket oval was the venue for a T20 game between the current 1st XI and a team of old boys Alumni who were led by the former Black Cap Brooke Walker (Hillary House 1991 – 1995).
The old boys batted first and scored 96 runs with Liam Winn (Kupe House 2010 – 2014) the highest scorer with a rapid 38 runs and Eckard Becker (Hillary House) starring with the ball taking 4 wickets for 5 runs.
In reply the current 1st XI reached the target with 4 wickets to spare thanks to a good opening partnerships and excellent contributions from Captain Michael Samuel of Hillary House (25 runs), Azza Lambat of Batten House (28 not out) and Diago Asia of Rutherford House (28).
A dinner catered by the parents followed the game with Brooke Walker presenting Azza Lambat with the trophy for the most valuable player for the 2019/2020 season. Brooke also presented his Black Caps jersey to the school.
