Macleans College Inaugural North vs South Sport Competition

Posted on September 25, 2020

The Macleans College Sports Department, coupled with the support of Senior Management and some dedicated teacher coaches, recently organised a North vs South competition, as a fitting way to close off the winter sports programme.

The school’s eight Whanau Houses were divided evenly with a North/South boundary, drawing a line in the ground for this newly created rivalry. Competing over three days, with hockey, netball, basketball, football, table tennis, rugby and staff volleyball participating.

The North took out the contest 10-2, but the score was secondary to winter sport trying to end on a high, with some really positive engagement as a result of COVID-19 affected season.
