Macleans College host Onehunga High School for junior sports exchange

On Thursday 21 September Onehunga High School visited Macleans College to participate in the annual junior sports exchange.
Macleans College had eight teams involved in the day which included the Year 9A and 10A netball girls’, a Year 9/10 boys’ basketball team, Year 9/10 girls’ and boys’ football teams, Year 9/10 girls’ and boys’ volleyball teams and an U15 rugby team.
The sportsmanship across all codes was wonderful to see throughout the morning and the teams had the most amazing weather to top it off.
The results were as follows:
Netball
- 9A 33-9 win
- 10A 39-15 win
Football
- Girls 2-3 loss
- Boys 10-2 win
Volleyball
- Girls 1-2 loss
- Boys 1-2 loss
Basketball
- At fulltime the match was even at 25-all and went to overtime, where Macleans College went onto win. A very exciting game.
Rugby
- 33-31 win
Thank you to all the coaches involved in this successful, fun filled day for the students. Macleans College look forward to next year’s sport exchange at Onehunga High School.
