Macleans College hold successful Shave for a Cure event

Posted on August 01, 2024

Nineteen Macleans College students recently participated in the student-led 2024 Shave for a Cure event.

The shave day was held in the amphitheatre on Wednesday 24 July, and proved to be inspiring for both participants and those watching - despite the unpredictable weather.

Students either shaved or cut their hair to spread awareness for the many Kiwis diagnosed with leukaemia. Aimed at supporting patients and their families, the Macleans College team successfully raised over $12,000 to fund research to find a cure.

Well done to all students who took part, your commitment to the cause is commendable - and thank you to everyone who made a donation. Large or small, your contribution to Leukaemia & Blood Cancer New Zealand is thoroughly appreciated.
