Macleans College Girls 1st XI Football team promoted to Premier Grade

Posted on April 03, 2023

The Macleans College Girls 1st XI Football team have spent the last few weeks preparing for promotion/relegation matches that would determine the grade they will play in for the 2023 season.

The team played Westlake Girls’ High School first and despite their efforts and half time lead, the result did not go their way and they lost 2-1. The outcome of this match meant the team had to face off against Marist College for the last promotion spot available. A stellar performance from all the girls resulted in a 12-0 win, with four goals coming from Zoe Brazier (Te Kanawa House).

This victory has secured promotion into the Auckland Premier Grade for the 2023 season. The team have also gained an invitation to participate in this season's knockout cup.
