Macleans College footballers play touring teams

Macleans College hosted two female football teams from American universities who are currently touring New Zealand.
The teams were from Evangel University in Missouri and East Texas Baptist University.
The Macleans College 1st XI girls played in a very evenly matched game against Evangel University and lost 6-4.
The Macleans College 14A boys played against East Texas Baptist University. While the boys had the majority of the possession, the defence of the Texas team was very strong and proved difficult to break down. The 14A side came away with a 3-1 victory.
An enjoyable time was had by all, with the Macleans College footballers benefiting from playing teams they wouldn’t usually compete against.
