Macleans Choirs Continued Success

Cantabile (Premier Girls’ Choir) and Macleans College Chorale enjoyed success at the South Auckland Performing Arts Competition on the final evening of Term 2.
Cantabile picked up 3rd prize and the Macleans College Choir won 1st prize in the Light Entertainment and Sacred, Folk or Traditional categories. Both choirs formed smaller chamber groups to compete in various categories at the festival and further awards were given to Cantabile Piccola (Very Highly Commended - own selection work), Macleans Coro Grande (1st prize - Sacred, Folk or Traditional) and M.C.C Piccola (2nd prize - own selection work.)
Both Cantabile and M.C.C now have their sights set firmly on the Big Sing Finale which will be held on August 24 -26.
