Maatangi Whenua Geography Competition

On Monday 14 August two Year 11 Macleans College teams competed against 25 schools from the Auckland region in the highly contested Maatangi Whenua Geography Competition, which was held at St Cuthbert’s College.
There were a range of activities the teams had to complete from creating geography features out of play dough to identifying different landmarks in New Zealand by studying satellite images.
The students performed magnificently - Macleans A placed 2nd and Macleans B placed 6th.
