Maadi Cup – National Rowing Championships

The Macleans College Rowing squad had a very successful week at the Maadi Cup which was held recently in the South Island.
The teams made eight A finals with many of the crew finishing in the top five.
The highlight of the week was the Under 15 Boys securing a bronze medal. This is the second year in a row that the Under 15 boys have placed in the top three in New Zealand.
The weather was fantastic, and the team was able to enjoy an afternoon off at the Tekapo Hot Springs.
There were over 120 schools competing, 2600 rowers and the finals days saw over 10,000 spectators in attendance.
