Level 2 business studies market days a resounding success

The NCEA Level 2 business studies students recently showcased their entrepreneurial skills during two vibrant market days.
These market days were part of an extensive nine credit internal assessment that challenged students to work in groups to complete a detailed business plan as well as design and sell a product. The events saw students selling a diverse range of products they had created and marketed themselves, demonstrating both creativity and business acumen.
The market days were a culmination of weeks of preparation, where students developed business plans, conducted market research and crafted their products. Stalls were selling a variety of products including protein brownies, protein shakers, perfume, custom reusable nails and makeup bags.
Teachers and fellow students flocked to the event, eager to support the young entrepreneurs. The initial response was overwhelmingly positive, with many stalls selling out of products within hours.
Students were even more enthusiastic for the second market day. They refined their marketing strategies, adjusted prices, and some even introduced new product lines based on customer feedback.
The students applied their theoretical knowledge and gained invaluable hands-on experience in running a business. The market days not only provided a practical learning experience but also highlighted the students' entrepreneurial spirit.
The market days would not have been as successful without the backing from the commerce teachers, the numerous friends, family and members of the school community who turned out to show their support. Many thanks to everyone involved.
