International Prefects up to the challenge at Tree Adventures

The Macleans College International Prefects recently visited Tree Adventures, a tree-top challenge course which offers a range of suspended obstacles and ziplines.
This trip served as a thank you from the International Students Department for the prefects help with new student arrivals and their ongoing support.
It was encouraging to view the students challenging themselves and supporting one another as they tackled the beginner’s courses, Monkey’n Around and progressed to Tarzan’s Test – the expert courses which reach up to 14 metres from the ground.
It was evident from the International Prefects feedback that a fun day was had by all.
“Thank you so much to Mrs Ashby and Mrs Lum for organising this trip for us. I really enjoyed the trip and feel closer to the other prefects, I also feel more confident and brave which will help me with leadership skills.”
“It was a great time to hang out with the International Department and prefects. It improved relations between International Prefects and teachers. Hoping more International Students can join this big family.”

“Students were all exhausted due to the concentration and focus on the project we were working on. It definitely involved team cooperation… checking the safety apparatuses. We involved both mental and physical challenges while working on those activities.”
“The activities ranked from 1 to 10. Its difficulty levels up in each activity. We were excited to try out those levels as we were looking forward to challenge ourselves to something unknown. Throughout the adventure we encouraged each other, and shared experiences, which strengthened our friendships and team work.”
“We appreciated the lunch and snacks provided by our supervisors. It was great to have tasty food, sitting next to each other, and chat. Thank you to the teachers involved in planning and preparing.”
“It was a new experience for me and a great day all around, it was fun to complete the courses, I enjoyed good food and spending time with the other prefects.”
