Inaugural Eastern Schools Careers Expo

The first combined Eastern Schools Careers Expo was held in the final week of term two, showcasing a variety of options for students in the world beyond school.
Students were able to explore future career pathways at tertiary institutions, in trades and in the workplace.
While the University of Auckland stand was predictably busy, students also took the opportunity to find out more about diverse areas such as hospitality and tourism, digital design and creativity, and the maritime industry to name just a few.
It was wonderful to see the number of students who attended, all interacting with the full range of exhibitors, from universities and polytechnics to the defence force and trades, asking questions and gathering information to equip themselves for their next life stage.
