Impressive rowing results at North Island Club Championships Regatta

Macleans College competed at the North Island Club Championships Regatta which was recently held over Auckland Anniversary weekend.

Over 2,000 competitors attended this regatta from 39 clubs from Te Ika a Māori/North Island. Macleans College races as part of the St Georges Rowing Club for club competitions. Competitors had to contend with a range of weather conditions ranging from sunny skies to torrential rain, thunder, lightning and wind.

This was a tough competition for the Macleans College crews to make finals in as they competed with competitors up to age 26. However, many crews made finals with some great results including a gold medal won by a composite Macleans College/Glendowie College novice double and a silver medal won by the Macleans College mens club quad.
