Impressive Performance for Economic Students in National Competition

The New Zealand Economics Competition organised by the University of Auckland’s Business School was held recently. 

Nearly 2,500 senior Economics students sat a forty question multiple-choice examination. 

Macleans College students performed very well again in this competition. Thirteen of the forty Macleans students who participated gained High Distinction i.e., they were placed in the top 5% of all participants. 

Of special note was Yang Fan Yun Year 13 of Snell House who was placed first in the national ranking. Yang Fan is part of the NZ Economics Olympiad team which is competing in Moscow, Russia later this month.
