Posted on September 20, 2018
Five Macleans College art students recently attended an illustration workshop at Uxbridge Arts and Culture Centre, in Howick with Hong Kong based artist Cath Love.
Digital technology is a vital process that is used in the urban contemporary arts which helps artists to understand how to scale artwork. Over the course of the day the students joined in with drawing exercises and illustration experiments which culminated in finished works that are currently on display at Malcolm Smith Gallery as part of the EAST exhibition.
The students learnt valuable skills around the process of tablet illustration seeing their work recorded as moving images. Additionally they had the opportunity to exhibit their work alongside reputable artists.
