IGCSE Geographers study Muriwai Beach and Mokoroa Falls
Posted on March 22, 2019
On Wednesday 13 March, the IGCSE Geography students spent the day at Muriwai Beach and Mokoroa Falls.
This field trip allowed the students to use what they had learnt in class. The day started at Muriwai Beach where the students measured the beach profile, and longshore drift. The students displayed accuracy and teamwork whilst recording and carrying out these processes. Next, at the beautiful Mokoroa Falls, where the students waded through the waters, ventured through the bushes, and observed their surroundings while measuring the velocity of the river and the river cross section.
Many thanks to Mrs Jackson, Mr Quesnell, and Ms Kenny for their help on this field trip.
