A team of five Macleans College students recently competed in the Middle Schools International Ethics final.

This online event included 44 teams from seven nations who had secured a place in the final, having gained first or second place in regional finals where 344 teams had competed. Macleans College finished first in the North Island Regional round.

The students represented themselves and the school incredibly well at the final, gaining an honourable mention by the judges and being placed in the top 23 teams.

Congratulations to the entire squad who helped the team prepare thoroughly and to Syed Abdullah (Upham House), Behrad Etemadipour (Batten), Ayan Shah (Upham), Areeba Zabrina (Hillary) and Amy Zuo (Batten) who competed on the day.

These students can be very proud of themselves, for the quality of the discussions they engaged in and the way they worked together as a team.
