Hillary Mountain Madness for the Himalayan Trust

After the earthquake in Nepal on ANZAC Day 2015 where nearly 10,000 people died, Hillary House has raised approximately $10,000 each year.
This money has gone to the Himalayan Trust to be used for relief in the area and especially the rebuilding of schools, hospitals and houses.
Last week the whole House was involved in the annual “Hillary Mountain Madness” to raise money, and to coincide, almost exactly, with sixty-five years since Sir Edmund Hillary climbed Everest.
This was a very successful day where the ten Hillary classes divided into smaller groups to sell food, organise games and help with “Donut Trucks”, “Churro Trucks” and Mr Whippy. Over $3,000 was raised in this event. But more importantly every one worked hard and had a lot of fun, and even the Yeti was seen to make an appearance.
Year 12 and 13 students Josephine Mercado, Daniel Woo, Christina Huang and Linette Gerber worked hard organizing the event and need to be congratulated.
