Posted on July 17, 2020
The Small House Choir competition took place this year in a revised format.
Each of the eight houses recorded their performances in the Colin Prentice Auditorium on Friday 26 June. Two live shows were then performed on Saturday 27 June to appreciative audiences, whilst the recorded performances were scrutinised by a panel of adjudicators.
The top three houses performed live in the school’s final assembly of the term, the first full school gathering since the Covid-19 lockdown. Following the performances, the top three places were announced with Hillary house retaining the small house choir title for a second year with their performance of Don’t Give Up on Me by Andy Grammer.
Upham House placed second with I Was Here by Beyonce, and Batten House placed third with a New Zealand mashup of Take it Easy and Aotearoa by Stan Walker and Catching Feelings by Six60.
