Gymnasts represent New Zealand on the Gold Coast

Two Macleans College students have recently returned from representing New Zealand at the Australian Gymnastics Championships held on the Gold Coast from 6 – 13 May.
Lucy Packer (Snell House) competed in the Senior International Aerobics competition. This was Lucy’s first competition as a full senior international gymnast and she placed well in a very strong field of experienced athletes.
Olivia Lin (Batten) competed as a Level 10 Rhythmic gymnast and gained an excellent bronze medal in the all-around competition and a bronze in her specialist hoop event.
Both gymnasts are looking forward to building on these strong performances as they work towards the New Zealand Gymnastics Championships to be held in August.
