Golfing Triumph

Liv Cheng, a former Macleans College student has qualified for the 2016 US Women’s Golf Open to be played in July at the CordeValle Golf Club in San Martin, California.

She did this by placing at one of the highly competitive qualifying events which saw her compete over 36 holes and an additional 5 playoff holes.

The US Open is the oldest of the LPGA’s 5 major tour championships. It also has the largest purse of any woman’s event of US$4.5 million.

Liv is ranked as the NZ No.2 Female Golfer, after Lydia Ko.
