Gold, silver and bronze at 2021 KBB Music Festival

The annual KBB Music Festival was once again held at the beautiful Holy Trinity Cathedral in Parnell last week.
The festival draws thousands of students from 45 schools, competing in Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra, Concert Band and Jazz Band categories.
Six ensembles represented Macleans College – Symphony Orchestra led by Dr Miles, Sinfonietta led by Mrs Johnston, Chamber Orchestra led by Miss Xie, Concert Band led by Dr Miles, Symphonic Band led by Ms Huang and Stage Band led by Mr Santarelli.
The groups were presented with the following awards:
- Symphony Orchestra – gold + Gala Concert invite
- Concert Band – gold
- Chamber Orchestra – silver
- Symphonic Band – bronze
- Stage Band – bronze
- Sinfonietta – commended
The following students were also selected to represent Macleans College in the festival’s honours orchestra:
