Funds raised for Cystic Fibrosis New Zealand on Interact Day
Posted on July 07, 2022
On Thursday 23 June the annual Interact Day was held during lunchtime in the school amphitheatre.
This year it was a bake sale, and the wide range of foods, which included brownies, cupcakes, cake pops, cookies and more, were enjoyed by students and teachers alike.
A total of $1,100 was raised, all of which will be donated to Cystic Fibrosis New Zealand, Interact Club’s main charity. These funds will go towards information packs, essential medical equipment, financial help during hospitalisations, transplants, the team of cystic fibrosis social workers who visit and support families, plus many other means of support.
Executives Nancy Chen (Rutherford House), Wei Tian Teo (Rutherford), Sue Jynn Leong (Rutherford), Shafquat Tabeeb (Mansfield), Regina Yun (Upham), Caelyn Pak (Te Kanawa), Ivan Yun (Te Kanawa), and Eason Chee (Mansfield) managed, coordinated, and oversaw all aspects of this event.
Many thanks to Mrs Milne for her support, Interact Club members who were involved with baking, selling, and educating others about cystic fibrosis, and the wider school community for supporting this initiative.
