Former Student to Referee in World Sevens Series

While she was at school she played Basketball, Football, Touch Rugby, Cricket and represented Macleans College in Eastern Zone and Greater Auckland Athletics. She was Rutherford House Sports Captain in 2014.

Lauren was recently appointed to referee in the World Sevens Series. She will take part in three of the six women’s tournaments in 2019.

In January 2018 she was named in New Zealand Rugby’s High-Performance Referee Wider Training Group: one of five women to be included in the new gender–integrated squads. Since then Lauren has refereed the final of the UTSNZ National Tertiary Women’s Sevens Tournament and the World Rugby Women’s Series Qualifier in Hong Kong.

Lauren is currently studying Marketing and Management at AUT.
