Zoe Hu (Snell House 2010 – 2014) who completed a Bachelor of Communication Design at Monash University in 2017 has established herself as a multi–disciplinary designer working across print, digital and motion mediums.
She is now working as a designer at Clear Design in Melbourne, Australia.
While at Macleans College Zoe achieved Top in New Zealand in AS Level Graphic Design and Top in the World in A Level Painting.
At the NZ Best Awards, which is an annual showcase of excellence in graphic, spatial, product, interactive and motion design Zoe received a Gold Award in the Student Category for a short animated film about David Lynch’s creative process, titled "David Lynch on Ideas". In addition, she received a Gold Award for her project about terrorism and the influence of fear on misinformation.
Further praise for Zoe came at the Australian Graphic Design Awards Student Awards when she received Judges Choice and the Pinnacle Award for "Spring/Sun/Winter/Dread", a hand-drawn music video. The judges comment included – ‘this incredible student project inspired me to keep making, pushing and exploring creativity’s ability to make anything possible if you are prepared to go for it’.
