FLO: The Young Entrepreneurs

The Macleans Young Enterprise Scheme team “FLO” has won the Kiwibank’s Best Company award at the recent local trade fair held at Sancta Maria College.
The team consisted of CEO Andrew Hu (Hillary), Productions Manager Vincent Wang (Mansfield), Communications Manager Isabella Meltzer (Rutherford), Marketing Manager Tanuvi Garimella (Rutherford), and Finance Manager Khorshed Tarapore (Mansfield).
The company has produced a multifunctional fruit detox and tea infuser drink bottle, which is made fully out of glass and features a bamboo lid and a stainless steel filter. At the trade fair the judges were very impressed by the quality and design of the bottle and the bottle was described as “sleek and simplistic.” Further, the team received feedback from both the crowd and the judges for being enthusiastic and passionate about their product. Each member of the company was able to contribute to the evening’s sales and describe each feature of the bottle confidently.
Not only did Flo win the prize, they also sold 11 of their bottles to the customers on the night and their sales continue through their website and Facebook page.
