Exceptional results at Auckland Mathematics Olympiad

On Saturday 8 May twelve students participated in the Auckland Mathematics Olympiad.

The students performed exceptionally well. In the Senior section, Rick Han (Snell House) placed first, Oliver Dai (Snell) fifth and Michael Li (Batten) sixth.

In the Junior section, Eric Lee (Batten) placed second, Jay Zhao (Rutherford) eleventh and Alston Yam (Mansfield) twelfth.

Jay and Alston are only in year 9 and were competing against year 10 and year 11 students in the same section. This bodes well for future years.
