The Macleans College Equestrian teams had a successful competition at the recent Auckland Secondary Schools Horse Trial.
The Macleans A team took first place overall in the Mixed A and B Level Division which was the highest level of the competition this year. Becky Duffett (Kupe House) and Beth Osborne (Kupe) both competed as A level riders which meant they completed Training/Open Level Cross Country and Show jumping courses. Becky completed the day with the second highest individual score at this level. Sam Keane (Batten) and Zalia Tornquist (Snell) competed in the B Level Division as part of this winning team.
Macleans B team competed in the B Level Division of the competition and rode well to place 3rd overall. This team was made up by Cameron Marryatt (Hillary), Lucy Pitcher (Upham) and Hayley Newington (Hillary).
