ESOL Business students hold a successful Market Day
Posted on September 01, 2023
Tuesday 29 August was ESOL Business Market Day.
The students had been preparing for this important day since late in Term 2, creating a detailed business plan. They learnt to write a mission statement, decide on SMART objectives, conduct a SWOT analysis of their business enterprise and create a marketing campaign based on their new knowledge of the marketing mix framework.
They also learnt about finance and calculating their breakeven point, with a focus on making money on the day.
The students offered hungry crowds a selection of food, from mochi desserts to bubble tea, fried noodles, sushi, toffee fruit, beef and pork dumplings and crispy crusts, all home-made. All stalls were sold out before the end of lunch bell rung.
