Donations delivered to All Saints Howick Food Bank
Posted on December 01, 2020
A group of Macleans College students recently delivered a collection of food and medical supplies to the oldest “food bank” based at the All Saints Anglican Church in Howick.
The school was approached by this organisation run by Lole Turner and her close friend Margaret Prentice to see if the school could assist with aid in the local area. The impact of COVID-19 has greatly affected the local community in terms of loss of jobs and reduction in salaries.
Year 9 and 10 students donated non-perishable food items over a ten-day period. The fundraising campaign was run by Mr Becroft and a number of students from 10CARH.
