Diwali celebrated at Macleans College
Posted on November 05, 2024
Staff and students at Macleans College recently celebrated Diwali, the vibrant festival of lights.
Diwali represents the triumph of light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance. The celebration takes place every year in late October or early November, depending on the cycle of the moon.
Macleans College staff engaged students in art activities such as creating rangoli designs, colouring mandalas and learning about henna designs.
As the celebration culminated, staff dressed in traditional attire and shared a morning tea of popular Diwali food.
