Current and former Macleans College students recognised by Zonta International

The Zonta Club of East Auckland held their annual Awards Ceremony recently, where both a current and former Macleans College student were felicitated.
Year 12 student Mika Ramsing (Kupe House) was awarded the Female Empowerment Award (formerly the Year 12 Female Leadership award).
Mika has been active in a range of Macleans College service clubs, including Amnesty International, UNICEF and the Z Club. She is part of the executive for Interact Club and leads the United Nations Youth Civics Education club. She is a United Nations High School Youth Ambassador and was involved in the organisation of the East Auckland Model United Nations forum. Mika is involved in many school-based activities, including playing the double bass for the Sinfonietta. She has been actively involved in martial arts.
Former Macleans College Head Girl Wei Tian Teo (Rutherford House 2018 - 2022) was acknowledged for receiving the International Zonta Young Woman in Public Affairs Award. This award is valued at USD $5,000 and an additional NZD $1,000.
