Posted on October 10, 2016

The Programming Challenge4Girls is an international competition for Year 10 girls which has seen Macleans College students achieve excellent results recently.

Team A, Amy Singh (Rutherford House) and Archi Tulsian (Upham) gained a First. Team B, Angela Wang (Kupe) and Jocelyn Lai (Mansfield) achieved an honourable mention. They competed against 12 other schools at AUT.

The purpose of the competition is to promote Computer Programming as a career choice. The students were asked to perform certain tasks with ‘ALICE’ a 3D animation studio. The aim was to encourage problem solving and experimentation. Minimal instructions were given to the teams.
