Close competition at Champion of Champions Tennis Tournament

Nine Macleans College students participated in the two-day knock out Champion of Champions Tennis Tournament, held at the Scarbo Tennis Centre.
Competing in the Senior Boys Doubles competition, Jack Chapman (Rutherford House) and Kevin Li (Snell) finished runners-up. Losing the first set, the pair fought back to win the second; eventually losing to Westlake Boys High School in the super-tie break 10:12. Jack also progressed through to the Senior Boys Singles semi-finals.
The Intermediate Girls pairing of Kerryn Bertram (Te Kanawa) and Alice Brown (Snell), and the Senior Girls pairing of Olivia Brown (Snell) and Hana Rose (Hillary), both reached their respective semi-finals.
Caitlin Austin (Upham), Matthew Bertram (Te Kanawa) and Alex Rose (Batten) all participated on the first day of competition.
Thank you to the parents who were able to support the team along with Ms Monsen who supervised the students during the tournament.
