Choir adds a poignant note

On Wednesday March 29th the Macleans College Premier Girls Choir, Cantabile, performed at the Spiritual Centre at Middlemore Hospital.
They participated in a service in memory of those that had passed away at the hospital in the last year. Family, friends, doctors, nurses and staff of the Counties Manukau Critical Care Complex attended the service.
The girls’ performance was the highlight of the event. They conducted themselves professionally and performed beautifully. Their talents were outstanding as they brought the hospital corridors to a standstill. There was a sense of calm somehow stirred with emotion. For a moment the hospital with the second largest mixed Intensive Care Unit and the busiest emergency department in Australasia, paused to hear and appreciate the power of music.
