Posted on October 11, 2024

At the end of term three, Macleans College held the annual CADI (Creative Arts, Design and Industries) Graduate Exhibition in Mansfield House commons, sponsored by Kitty Long from Barfoot and Thompson, Highland Park.

The exhibition showcased a diverse range of creative works by Year 13 graduating students including painting, photography, art design, textiles, design and visual communication, design technology, construction, engineering, digital design and product design.

Students embraced the opportunity to present their work to a public audience, including parents and judges. Catering was provided by the food technology courses and barista coffees were organised by the Year 11 students and the food technology staff.

There were spot prizes, kindly donated by the community, for competing students before the winners were announced.

Nine categories were open for judging by:

  • Jeni Song, HOD from Dilworth School
  • Michael Puhara, an English teacher at Mt Albert Grammar School, who also runs his own IT company Kahu.code
