Business Studies students experience university life
Posted on June 01, 2022
On Monday 16 and Friday 20 May the Level 2 Business Studies classes travelled to the city campus of the Auckland University of Technology (AUT).
The visit was part of an internal assessment in which students are required to investigate the application of motivation theory in a business environment. Students spent the day meeting AUT employees researching what it is like to work at the university, and how AUT seeks to retain and motivate its employees.
The campus visit was highly educational with students getting to see university life first hand and partaking in university style lectures and workshops which included topics such as critical thinking and business ethics. Students also had the opportunity to meet defence force representatives who were promoting New Zealand armed forces as part of the universities technology week.
It was a thoroughly enjoyable and educational experience.
