Business plans on display at market day

Posted on May 24, 2022

The Macleans College NCEA Level 2 Business Studies students recently completed their second market day in the amphitheatre.

These market days were part of an extensive nine credit internal assessment that challenges students to work in groups to design, produce and market an original product. Students must produce a comprehensive real world business plan that details their business strategy.

Stalls were selling a variety of products including Macleans College lanyards, jewellery and hand-crafted bookmarks. It was evident that the students had put in much time and effort. A portion of product sales were donated to local charities such as the Blind Low Vision NZ Guide Dogs and Starship Children’s Hospital.

Special mention must go to the commerce teachers who provided backing to make the market days a success, and to members of the school community for their show of support.
